4pm start after sleeping in a bit due to doubledave canceling our lesson today. He got 14th in FTOPS 24 and was up real late, I totally understood. I believe my impulse decision to 6x the a couple FTOPS yesterday was kinda meh, it was not the worst decision, but it is one I wont be repeating anytime soon. I have gone back and fourth about how to attack METs, I believe I will go with 1x or just skip them.
I have several more lessons over the next two weeks so I will be playing my norm schedule with some focus on playing hard and improving and will not be taking many shots, I just want to grind. Updates later.
Cashed in 4 out of 37 MTTs with a couple mid-deep runs. Overall it was not the day I was after but if this was easy everyone would do it. I have several lessons and plan on grinding hard next couple weeks and I am stickler for doing what I say I will, GL ME.

Sunday
1pm start and ready to give a day of majors a shot. Cashed in 1 out of 24 MTTs with most being majors and my only cash was for the minimum. I think taking an occasional shot is fine just keep everything in context. Now after a brutal day I will definitely be going back to a hard grind of my normal schedule this week. My team is doing well in the team event on P5s we are currently in second place and I am leading the yearly comp but it's early. Now its time to relax, GL ME.

6pm start, updates later.
Rough start to the day when my laptop started making a loud static noise when I tried to log on and it took a few hours and a trip to the apple store to figure out everything is fine and yes I did fix it before I went to the apple store. The traffic at the mall was outrageous, mostly due to the fact that we have had several inches of snow and then today was in the fifties.
Cashed in 2 out of 25 MTTs with no deep runs. I think I will cook some food, watch some tv, and then sleep and forget this day, lol. Hoping for a fun filled Sunday full of shipaments, GL ME.

Friday
1:30pm start after our first group HH discussion, ready to rock. Updates later.
Cashed in 5 out of 45 MTTs with one final table for a 1st in the $5r 12k on FTP. Overall it was a solid day full of improving play. The poker chat is now full of several sik grinders and the HH discussions are off the chart and we are all improving, I am so excited for what is possible. My plan is to keep working hard and putting in lots of volume while avoiding complacency and contentment. I truly believe if I stay on this path I will reach my goals, GL ME.

Thursday
2:30pm start after another awesome lesson with doubledave22. I played 37 MTTs today with only 2 cashes. I got 18th in the $11r on Stars and took a rough beat on the river deep with aces in the fifty-fifty on FTP. Overall it was still a decent day as far as my play and attitude. The last two days lessons have helped and the increased participation out of the chat group recently is helping as well. Tomorrow we are trying our first group HH discussion and I think it will go fine. I have reviewed HHs with a couple guys but usually one on one, I am excited to try it as a group. I have a lesson everyday next week and then the following week I am sure we will be doing more HH discussions.
The more I play and learn, the greater the appreciation I have for the time I have put in and all the trial and error I do on a daily basis. I am sure there are some things I do by auto-pilot when multi-tabling, but there are so many others that I am constantly working on to figure out the best possible way.
We had soem great discussions in the chat today over ranges to open with when the blinds have a small stack. It was fun talking about the ranges, looking over the shove/call charts, and bouncing thoughts off each other. Talking poker with friends is by far one of the most beneficial tools to improving.
On a side note I have been enjoying Netflix from my PS3 and getting to watch several good movies, I think that is what I will do now. Until tomorrow, same cracker time, same cracker channel. GL ME.

2:30pm start after and hour lesson with doubledave22, feeling good and excited to play some poker. Updates later.
Cashed in 6 out of 42 MTTs with all small cashes to come out decent loser on the day but overall felt that I played okay. I had a good lesson with doubledave22 and have three more lesson with him scheduled and five scheduled with shanetrain22 across the next few weeks. I will be reviewing several of my HHs with them which should help in fixing several of my leaks and help me to take the next step.
Grinding poker can be done in so many different ways, there are guys that do the least amount of work they can to get by and make a small profit, and there are the guys that active in forums, chats, and take lessons while playing tons of volume while treating poker like a business. I prefer to try the latter. It takes work but I believe the rewards will far out weigh the effort.
On a side note I have to admit to playing to distracted to often recently, this on top of playing several tables at once. I will say that I play with the television off and at a table I have turned into a desk with several limited distractions, but have just simply been playing distracted. As always I like to try and admit my faults so I can begin to confront them and get past them. So I think after my lesson tomorrow I will make myself play less tables through out the day and just stop the trend of doing the same thing over and over even though I know it is suboptimal. I am hoping this will allow me to regain focus and be happier with my play. I do want to say that the level of focus I am missing is small, for example I'll say I am using 90% of my focus for poker and 10% is spread between some small web use and the chat group. I have been limiting my time on the web and my time in chat, but to achieve what I want to achieve I need to play with 100% focus. One way to do that is try some shorter sessions with more focus and retrain myself. I have played so many tables for so ling while multi-tasking I have developed some bad habits. I am sure mastering poker will be a never ending journey but I am excited to take the challenge, GL ME.

Cashed in 3 out of 44 MTTs with one final table in the $15r 5k on AP. It was a decent day overall, I was just not able to get ahead. I am excited to say I have a poker lesson with doubledave tomorrow and I am sure it will go great. I am also scheduling some lessons with shanetrain.
